Birthkeeping

The term ‘Birthkeeper‘ was coined by the late and great Jeannine Parvati Baker to represent those who are dedicated to guarding and preserving the natural design of the birth process, which in turn protects a woman’s inherent birthright to mother her child in her own innate way.

As a trained doula, independent childbirth educator, and spiritual midwife with over ten years of experience supporting women, as well as being a seasoned mother of three, I am a dedicated Birthkeeper who aims to offer you to become empowered through your own innate abilities. I offer one on one visionary childbirth education and birth plan consulting, Hypnobirthing & other relaxation techniques, Emotional Healing Work, as well as the traditional personal pregnancy, labour, birth, and post-natal support package. All offerings include; herbal support for all stages of the childbearing year (including birth kits), and nutritional advice if needed.

To discuss your needs and how I can serve you best, please feel free to contact me through the form below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Many Blessings,

Disclaimer: Please note that I am not a registered midwife or nurse. I am not employed or contracted by any hospital or birth centre, I am engaged only by the birthing woman and her family. I do not perform clinical procedures such as vaginal exams, nor will I ‘deliver’ your baby (unless an emergency prevails – I am trained in First Aid and have caught babies before). As a qualified herbalist, I am able to perform blood pressure checks, and utilise observation skills, and suggest herbal and nutritional support, however I do not make any diagnoses. I am more than happy to work along side your other chosen care providers. My focus, however, will always be on encouraging and holding the sacred space for the birthing woman.
