I'm currently working on a project about the Way of Trees. I am moving through my lineage of trees indigenous to Australia, trees that held significance to the Celts of the British isles and Western Europe, and trees that held significance to the Hebrews. While the archetypal Tree imparts a reminder or an instruction on the Way that we should go, individual trees also show us through their individual essences and signatures the way to overcome certain obstacles and move forward in our journey. I am currently working with Crimson Bottlebrush, which is in full bloom and singing it's song. 🌿🌺. In researching and meditating on the way of Crimson Bottlebrush, it soon becomes apparent that If you bring the flowers of Crimson Bottlebrush into your home, your children won't leave you alone.
In particular, for rifts between perimenopausal mothers and adolescent children it holds a lovely space for an organic reconciliation and a solidarity in moving through these sometimes tumultuous transitions together. #herbalmedicine #plantspiritmedicine #treemedicine #intuitiveherbalism #shamanicherbalism #joy #australianbushfloweressences #indigenousplants #floweressences
Calendula blooming! 💖🌱🌟. Look for the good in the Earth. There is always something, no matter how dire the situation appears. Don't feed the beast who creates and thrives on fear. Because fear shuts us down, it tenses us up. And in our efforts to stop ourselves from feeling the pain that we are afraid to feel, we ironically become more easier to control, and we lose our hope, and our joy. And sometimes, we might turn that fear into anger - a dynamic force that motivates us to take action, but it still comes from a place of fear, and we are still feeding the beast that thrives on it, because the beast knows that as long as we are afraid, it still has us.
Yet, the Earth knows differently. The Earth knows her purpose, to nourish, to serve, to teach, to witness, and to exalt the One who made her.
When there is a sprouted seed, there is hope.
When there is a flower in bloom, there is hope.
When the sun rises in the morning, there is hope.
When there is a rainbow, there is hope.
When a woman is in labour, she goes through a bit of a battle, no matter how natural or how anaesthetised it is, and yet there is joy in the morning. And hope dwells in newly born eyes.
It is no coincidence then, that Adam & Eve were placed in a garden, to tend it and care for it. They weren't given the whole world. Therefore, take care of your little garden, your little sphere of life. Nurture it and nourish it and love it with an open heart, and do the best you can to plant seeds that sprout into joy. This is how we stop feeding the beast. #greenblessings #holisticwellness #love #joy #plantspiritmedicine #herbalmedicine #bethechange #gratitude
